Facilities

The Forès mill is the main private producer of oil in Catalonia. It is capable of producing up to 30,000 kilos of oil per day, and boasts warehouses with a storage capacity of up to 500,000 kilos of oil. The facilities are 3,000 square metres in size with a team of 10 employees.

During the harvesting season, the olives are treated on the same day as they are cropped in order to preserve the organoleptic characteristics of the final product, olive oil.

The product is continuously monitored from the moment it reaches the Forčs mill facilities. In this way, the olives are separated according to quality and origin when they arrive at the mill.

The Forès mill has 2 symmetrical production lines capable of obtaining 2 different kinds of oil at the same time. The Forès mill production system is capable of grinding up to 150,000 kilos of olives per day. The olive oil is put through a cold-press extraction process using only physical means.

At the end of the process to obtain olive oil, the oil is categorised by varieties, qualities, origins and analytical parameters, after which it is stored in different tanks and warehouses.

In addition, Olis Forès has been recognised by the Catalan Council of Ecological Agricultural Production (known by its initials in Catalan, CCPAE) as an ecological oil producer.
